Welcome to the project Jelmoli facade

The facade of the well-known Jelmoli headquarter in Zurich owes its charm to a high-quality architectural language from the 1930s to the 1960s. With the decision to place the historic building under monument protection, the renovation of the facade’s filigree-lighting from the 60s was also commissioned.

LIGHT ON was able to impress constructors and the Monument-Protection’s Department with a technically high-quality LED solution that could be used to reconstruct the effect of the former neon lighting. Today’s energy requirements can also be accomplished. By introducing waterproof LED strips into customised Plexiglas round tubes, the desired appearance of the Jelmoli facade can be obtained both by day and by night.
