Restaurant Scala Davos
The vision of an adaptable, multi-functional and sustainable public interior was the focus of the remodelling of the dining space in the Hotel Europa, Davos.
LIGHT ON designed such a lighting concept to be easily adapted and tuned for each possible purpose. The space is, for instance, also rented out as a presentation and event location during the annual World Economic Forum.
Reflecting the industrial house style, the basic lighting is provided by dimmable LED light tubes. These can be set to provide a warm light for restaurant operations and a cool light for conference purposes to ensure the optimum ambience in each case.
LED tracks and spotlights effectively highlight the featured slatted wooden panelling and art work, while designer luminaries are placed above each table.
Additionally, installing ceiling tracks opens up an array of future possibilities to easily add further spotlights as required.
